CFPromo Enhances Custom Apparel Options with Direct to Garment Printing

CFpromo continues to expand its footprint into the newest and freshest custom apparel options in 2013.  Today we are pleased to announce we have added several new customization options to our lineup including Direct to Garment Printing (DTG)!   As one of the only options for this process in South Dakota, CFpromo has expanded our inventory to ensure we have plenty of stock on hand to meet the growing demand for Direct to Garment printing options.  One of the biggest questions we get is what is Direct to Garment Printing (DTG), why do I want it and how is it similar and/or different than our normal screen printing processes? 

 

 

 

First, we explain what Direct to Garment Printing is:

 

 

 

Direct to garment printing is the process of printing directly onto a garment very similar to the way a sheet of paper prints from a computer printer.  Direct to garment printing is fairly new and a great option for small orders (less than 12 shirts for instance).  With direct to garment printing the color palette is unlimited which allows you to have anything printed with any colors and no setup for each color like with screen printing (see pictures above). Therefore you could have an actual photo printed on a t-shirt!   Another bonus is easily adding names or different numbers to a garment.. This cannot be done with screen printing since a screen would have to been burned for each name and this is just not cost effective or feasible. Most direct to garment printers do not print white ink therefore your design/image must be printed on a light colored garment.

What is a great logo to use for DTG printing?  The logo below is a PERFECT example of would be impossible to screen print as the number of colors and intricate details within the logo require a Direct to Garment option.  A great choice for DTG printing.
